MISSION

The mission of Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Vendor Alliance (SVA) is to provide products and services for the affected members of the payment card industry including retailers, E-commerce companies financial institutions, payment processors, POS vendors and any other organizations that must achieve compliance with the PCI Data Security Standards. The PCI SVA will also complement the objectives of the major card payment brands by helping educate the payment card industry about the business value of achieving PCI DSS compliance. Note: the PCI Security Vendor Alliance is NOT affiliated with the PCI Security Standards Council™.

PCI SVA Solution Tool

This Solutions Tool website meets the needs both of firms that have done an annual risk assessment and those that have not. Firms that have done a risk assessment and know what DSS requirements they need help with can get assistance with particular areas. Those who have not yet done a risk assessment can order the software, and complete the "Turbo-Tax" style demonstration.Following the risk assessment, you can get a listing of DSS requirements and SVA member solutions. Help build a PCI Knowledge Base

The PCI Alliance, working with IT research firm TheInfoPro, is helping to develop a PCI Knowledge Base, where merchants can learn about the PCI compliance experiences of others, as well as get advice from a panel of PCI experts. To help build this PCI Knowledge Base, they are conducting a series of anonymous interviews with merchants.

New Research Program Invaluable to Merchants Meeting PCI Compliance
PCI Knowledge Base Marshals Industry Muscle to Impart PCI Best Practices

Fremont, CA - April 8, 2008 -- The Payment Card Industry Security Vendor Alliance (PCI SVA) today announced the launch of the PCI Knowledge Base, a research program designed to help merchants, assessors, banks, processors and vendors anonymously share PCI knowledge and experience.

According to Visa, the percentage of large merchants that met PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance more than doubled over the last eight months. This spike in compliant companies prompted the PCI SVA, a member organization that offers institutions and card processors products and services to achieve PCI DSS compliance, to create the PCI Knowledge Base.
